    Hello Sacreuse,

This is one of the last step of the installation process. At the very end the installer will ask you were to install the grub boot sector. Choose the USB stick and NOT the internal harddrive. Overwise you might overwrite the boot sector and have difficulties booting your native operating system.

Have a look at this page http://lordikc.free.fr/wordpress/?page_id=334 and search for MBR.

I did run “dd if=/media/xdata/SO/Mageia-2-beta2-x86_64-DVD/Mageia-2-beta2-x86_64-DVD.iso of=/dev/sdb” and it burned the iso into the USB.
When i plug back the USB stick, dolphin shows it contents, but when booting the USB is not recognized (i used this same USB stick to boot severall SO’s) so isnt problem from the bios or the USB.

Theres some problem when the iso is burned with dd.
    Any hint?
