Mageia 2 alpha 1 Live CD USB

For those who want to test the brand new Mageia 2 Alpha 1 without burning a CD or on their netbook, here’s the kit :

Kit USB for Mageia 2 Alpha 1 (32 bits)
Kit USB for Mageia 2 Alpha 1 (64 bits)

See this article for installation instructions and this article for enabling persistance.

Mageia 2 comes with GNOME 3. I now understand the buzz around this new GNOME release…I switched to GNOME because KDE became a strange thing I just can’t use, GNOME team did worse.

If it’s not broke, don’t fix it !

    Hi;

    This might be out of the scope of your wonderful articles, but I’ll give it a shot :)

    1. Why is it necessay to have the KITUSB in order to make the livecd bootable on usb?

    2. Why cannot EXT4 be used instead of FAT?

    3. Could you make an article on how can we modify, update or add software to distrib-lzma.sqfs?

    4. How can I use the persistence feature with the ability to automatically check for the Graphic Card always without saving its settings?

    Thank you
